“How can we design a social enterprise that can help reduce female recidivism, enhance the human experience, and curate social impact in a way that is sustainable, scalable, and designed with purpose?”

Through an organization to which her mother belongs, the America-Nepal Women’s Association of Greater Washington, Dipshika has organized a youth forum. At the Arlington County Central Library auditorium on Sunday, Dipshika and three other Nepali teenagers will act as panelists and talk about feeling trapped between the American and Nepali cultures. An adult will give voice to the parents’ cultural concerns. Kedar Bhakta Shrestha, the Nepali ambassador to the United States, also will speak.

As part of the inaugural class of Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies' Master of Arts in Social Innovation in 2018. Kroc School Master of Arts in Social Innovation alumni reflect on their experiences within the program, the skills they acquired and how those newly found skills have prepared them for their careers post graduation.

SD Nights is becoming the new hang out spot for kids and teens across San Diego County. Short for Safe Destination Nights, the program provides safe places where young people can safely hang out with their friends in the evening while also learning essential life skills and make a difference in their communities.

Dipshika Karki is the founder and CEO of Creativhouse, a nonprofit that provides services and resources to youth between 16 and 24 years old who are either unemployed or not enrolled in school. She’s also a program coordinator with the parks and recreation department for San Diego County.

Consultant on a project with Qualcomm’s Global Inclusion and Diversity (GID) program, one of the largest and most innovative technology companies in the world. Through a series of human-centered design methods, students were able to develop creative solutions to help Qualcomm more effectively bring millennial ideas, creativity and energy to the table.

Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C. added another historic milestone to its reputation as host of the Capitol CannaShow, the largest local business and advocacy-focused cannabis conference in the nation’s capital.

With over 2,000 attendees, vendors, and volunteers over the course of the day, it was the largest locally sourced cannabis conference and expo on the District has ever seen to date.
